Terms of Use
These terms govern your use of Nepal Next. We have written them in plain language. If something is unclear, contact us — we would rather you understand what you are agreeing to than sign away rights without knowing it.
What Nepal Next is
Nepal Next is an independent civic intelligence platform. We gather, verify, and publish information about Nepal's government, public officials, laws, and civic matters. We operate independently of any political party, government ministry, or commercial interest.
The information on Nepal Next is for civic education and public interest purposes. It is not legal advice, financial advice, or professional advice of any kind. If you need legal guidance on a specific matter, consult a qualified lawyer. If you need financial advice, consult a qualified financial professional.
Using the platform
Nepal Next is free to use. You do not need an account to read content, browse the Constitution, view government notices, or use the constitutional rights adviser.
An account is required to submit a citizen complaint, vote in a poll, or access personalised civic alerts. You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at hello@nepalnext.com.
What you cannot do
When using Nepal Next, you must not:
- Submit false, fabricated, or misleading information in any form — complaints, contact messages, polls, or account details
- Attempt to submit a complaint about someone with the intent of harassing or defaming them
- Vote more than once in any poll
- Attempt to scrape, copy, or republish Nepal Next content without attribution or for commercial purposes without permission
- Attempt to interfere with the platform's operation, security, or infrastructure
- Use the platform in any way that violates Nepal law or applicable international law
- Impersonate any person, organisation, or government body
Violations may result in your account being suspended, your complaint being rejected, and in serious cases, referral to relevant authorities.
Citizen complaints
Nepal Next operates a citizen complaints desk where you can report civic issues — corruption, public service failures, misuse of public funds, or constitutional rights violations. Here is how it works:
- All complaints go through a five-level verification process before any verdict is published. We do not rush to judgement.
- Any person or organisation named in a complaint in a negative context will be given a right of reply before publication.
- Submitting a complaint does not guarantee it will be accepted or published. We decline complaints that lack evidence, are outside our scope, or appear to be malicious.
- The information you provide in a complaint — including your name, email, description, and evidence — will be used by our team to investigate. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle this data.
- You must ensure that any information you submit is truthful to the best of your knowledge. Deliberately false complaints are a misuse of this service and may have legal consequences under Nepal law.
- Complaints are retained for 5 years from case closure as part of the civic record.
Public polls
Nepal Next runs verified public opinion polls on civic and national issues. Each poll permits one response per verified email address. We hash your email address before storing it — the stored value cannot be used to identify you.
Poll results are presented as public opinion data, not as scientific surveys. We disclose methodology and sample size with every published poll.
Nepal Next may weight or adjust poll results to correct for demographic imbalances (province, diaspora status). Any such adjustment is disclosed alongside the results.
Our content
All original content on Nepal Next — articles, summaries, verdicts, leader scores, historical timelines — is the copyright of Nepal Next unless otherwise stated.
We publish government notices and constitutional text under the original source terms. The Constitution of Nepal is an official public document. We use the official English translation by the Nepal Law Commission.
You may quote our content for non-commercial, civic, journalistic, or educational purposes with clear attribution to Nepal Next and a link to the original page. Reproducing substantial portions of our content commercially requires our written permission. Contact us at hello@nepalnext.com.
AI-assisted content
Nepal Next uses artificial intelligence to assist with summarising government notices, translating content between Nepali and English, classifying incoming information, and powering the constitutional rights adviser.
All AI-assisted content that reaches the public is:
- Reviewed by a Department Officer before publication
- Labelled as AI-assisted where applicable
- Grounded in source documents we can identify
The Constitutional Rights Adviser on Nepal Next provides general information about the Constitution of Nepal 2015 based on the official text. Its responses are not legal advice. For specific legal situations, consult a qualified legal professional. The adviser cites the constitutional article it draws from so you can verify the information yourself.
AI systems can make errors. If you believe any AI-assisted content on Nepal Next is incorrect, please use the corrections link on that page or contact us directly.
Corrections
When Nepal Next makes a factual error, we correct it publicly and transparently. Every correction is logged with the date, what changed, and why. We do not quietly edit content — the correction record is permanent and visible. See our Corrections policy for the full process.
Limitation of liability
Nepal Next provides civic information in good faith, based on verified sources. We make no warranty that information is complete, current, or free from error in all cases. The platform is provided "as is."
Nepal Next is not liable for any action taken, or not taken, based on information found on this platform. In particular, the constitutional rights adviser is an informational tool, not a substitute for legal representation.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of Nepal Next shall not exceed the amount you have paid to Nepal Next in the 12 months prior to the claim (which for free users is zero).
Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, personal injury caused by negligence, or any other matter where liability cannot be limited by law.
Jurisdiction and governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Nepal. Any dispute arising from your use of Nepal Next that cannot be resolved informally shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Nepal.
If you access Nepal Next from another country, you do so at your own risk and are responsible for compliance with local laws.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be announced via the site notice or by email to registered users.
Continued use of Nepal Next after a change to these terms constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
