National Integrity Policy 2083 approved to curb corruption

On 2 July 2026 the Council of Ministers approved the National Integrity Policy 2083, a good governance framework to curb corruption and enforce ethical conduct. It requires public office holders to disclose their assets and the source of their wealth, and obliges political parties to keep their fundraising and spending transparent. Its standards extend to the private sector and non government organisations, and the National Vigilance Centre will inspect compliance with penalties for violations.

२ जुलाई २०२६ मा मन्त्रिपरिषद्‌ले राष्ट्रिय सदाचार नीति, २०८३ स्वीकृत गरेको छ। यो नीतिले भ्रष्टाचार नियन्त्रण र नैतिक आचरण सुदृढ गर्ने लक्ष्य राख्छ। सार्वजनिक पदाधिकारीहरूले आफ्नो सम्पत्ति र त्यसको स्रोत सार्वजनिक गर्नुपर्ने र राजनीतिक दलहरूले चन्दा तथा खर्चमा पारदर्शिता कायम गर्नुपर्ने व्यवस्था छ। यसका मापदण्ड निजी क्षेत्र र गैरसरकारी संस्थामा समेत लागू हुनेछन् र राष्ट्रिय सतर्कता केन्द्रले अनुगमन गर्नेछ।
