The U.S. State Department advises against all travel to Iran due to the high risk of arbitrary arrest and detention of U.S. citizens. Those already in Iran should depart as soon as it is safe to do so. The U.S. government has extremely limited ability to provide assistance to U.S. citizens in Iran.
