Remittance inflows to Nepal rose 41.2% year-on-year to Rs 1.92 trillion in the first ten months of fiscal year 2025/26, according to data released by Nepal Rastra Bank on June 10, 2026. In US dollar terms, the increase was 33%, reaching $13.26 billion over the same period.
Remittances are projected to equal approximately 33.02% of Nepal's GDP for the full fiscal year, underscoring the continued dependence of the national economy on overseas workers' earnings.
