On July 10, 2026, President Ramchandra Paudel officially certified four bills previously passed by the Federal Parliament. This action completes the constitutional process, making these legislations enforceable upon their publication in the Nepal Gazette.
The certified bills include the Public Procurement (Second Amendment) Bill, 2083; the Prevention of Money Laundering (Third Amendment) Bill, 2083; the Cooperatives (First Amendment) Bill, 2083; and the Bill to Amend Some Nepal Acts Related to Institutes of Health Science.
These new laws are designed to introduce reforms in public procurement, strengthen measures against financial crime, modify regulations in the cooperative sector, and update legal frameworks for health science institutions.
