Nepal's annual inflation rate for Jestha, FY 2082/83 (May-June 2026), reached 5.22% year-on-year based on the Consumer Price Index (CPI), as reported by the Nepal Rastra Bank. This figure represents an increase of 0.18 percentage points from the previous month and a substantial 2.50 percentage points compared to the same month in FY 2081/82.
Trading Economics also confirmed that the annual inflation rate rose to 5.22% in June 2026, up from 5.04% in the prior month. This marks the highest inflation level observed in Nepal since January 2025. Food and beverages constitute 44% of the consumer price index, while housing and utilities account for 20%.
