As of mid-July 2026, the Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) reported that its total assets and liabilities amounted to Rs 3.874 trillion. This represents an increase of approximately Rs 1.2 trillion compared to the Rs 2.671 trillion recorded in the previous fiscal year.
The expansion in the NRB's financial position was largely attributed to a significant rise in foreign currency assets. These assets grew to Rs 3.730 trillion within the reported period.
