The Nepal government successfully concluded a five-point agreement with the Nepal Medical Association (NMA), which resulted in the termination of a nationwide protest by doctors. The agreement includes commitments to enforce the Safety of Healthcare Workers and Health Institutions Act, 2009.
Additionally, the agreement pledges stronger legal action against assaults on healthcare personnel and the formation of a joint task force to enhance the safety and security of health institutions across the country.
