In early July 2026, the Government of Nepal and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) signed concessional loan agreements amounting to $165 million, equivalent to approximately Rs. 25.17 billion. These agreements were concluded during the official visit of ADB President Masato Kanda to Nepal on July 7, 2026.
The funds are designated for two significant development projects. $115 million will finance the Integrated Water Supply and Sewerage Management Project, and $50 million will provide budget support for the South Asia Subregional Economic Cooperation (SASEC) Trade Facilitation Program.
