National Assembly Approves Key Bills, Including Election and Cooperative Reforms

On July 9, 2026, the National Assembly unanimously passed the 'Bill to amend some Nepal Acts relating to Institute of Health Sciences, 2083', the 'Cooperatives (First Amendment) Bill, 2083', and the 'Public Procurement (2nd Amendment) Bill, 2083'. These bills were introduced to replace earlier ordinances.

Separately, on July 17, 2026, the National Assembly unanimously approved proposals to consider the 'Election of Members of the House of Representatives (First Amendment) Bill, 2026' and the 'Voters' Roll (First Amendment) Bill, 2026'. These proposals were presented by the Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs.
