The Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies in Nepal issued a statement on August 5, 2026, announcing that the supply of LP gas is expected to normalize within a few days.
Ministry Spokesperson Netra Prasad Subedi urged consumers to avoid unnecessary stocking of cooking gas based on rumors and false information. He advised them to purchase only according to their needs.
Subedi noted that the current import and distribution of LP gas in the market exceed regular demand and are higher compared to the same period last year. Efforts are underway to ensure an effective supply and distribution system through coordination with stakeholders.
