High Court Tulsipur Judge Basudev Acharya has been designated as the Chairperson of the Special Court, and High Court Surkhet Judge Dipendra Adhikari has been appointed as the Chairperson of the Labour Court. These appointments were made during a Council of Ministers meeting on Wednesday, July 22, 2026. Separately, a judicial inquiry commission, headed by former High Court judge Keshav Prasad Bastola, was formed to investigate the self-immolation case of Ganesh Nepali, with a mandate to submit its report within seven days.
