Foreign Minister Shisir Khanal said Nepal would continue to pursue resolution of its long-standing border dispute with India through diplomatic channels, citing historical agreements and maps as the basis for any settlement. The statement was made on July 2, 2026.
The remarks came as tea exports from Nepal to India resumed following a two-month suspension, a development that coincided with renewed attention to bilateral relations between the two countries.
