Foreign Minister Shisir Khanal stated today that the government is actively making diplomatic efforts to secure the release of two brothers from Sarlahi. The farmers have been detained in an Indian jail for 20 days after being found with fertilizer purchased across the border.
Minister Khanal confirmed that communication is ongoing through Nepal's embassy in New Delhi. The embassy is coordinating with Indian authorities to facilitate their release on bail.
