On Tuesday, August 11, 2026, Finance Minister Swarnim Wagle stated that the government would fully abide by the Public Accounts Committee's directives concerning official financial records that were destroyed during protests on September 8–9, 2025, characterizing the destruction as a 'force majeure' incident. He outlined plans to digitize all government records to prevent similar losses in the future and pledged to act in accordance with the Public Account Committee's guidance on the audit backlog.
During a meeting with representatives of multinational companies, Minister Wagle urged them to increase investment, expand existing industries, introduce new technologies, and create more jobs, assuring them of government support and protection for their investments. He emphasized that the government's priority extends beyond tax collection to accelerating the cycle of production, investment, profit, and reinvestment.

बहुराष्ट्रिय कम्पनीका प्रतिनिधिहरूसँगको भेटमा मन्त्री वाग्लेले उनीहरूलाई लगानी बढाउन, विद्यमान उद्योगहरू विस्तार गर्न, नयाँ प्रविधिहरू भित्र्याउन र थप रोजगारी सिर्जना गर्न आग्रह गर्नुभयो। उहाँले उनीहरूको लगानीका लागि सरकारी सहयोग र संरक्षणको आश्वासन दिनुभयो। उहाँले सरकारको प्राथमिकता कर सङ्कलनमा मात्र सीमित नभई उत्पादन, लगानी, नाफा र पुन:लगानीको चक्रलाई तीव्र पार्नमा पनि रहेको कुरामा जोड दिनुभयो।
