A draft bill that addresses domestic airline liability has received in-principle approval from the Cabinet. This proposed legislation aims to increase the liability of domestic airlines to $100,000 in cases of death or serious injury.
The bill also seeks to introduce mandatory insurance for domestic flights and clarify rules regarding delays, baggage, and cargo, bringing Nepal's domestic aviation regulations closer to international standards.

मन्त्रिपरिषद्ले आन्तरिक उडानको दायित्व सम्बन्धी एक मस्यौदा विधेयकलाई सैद्धान्तिक स्वीकृति दिएको छ। यो प्रस्तावित कानूनले मृत्यु वा गम्भीर चोटपटकको अवस्थामा आन्तरिक वायुसेवा कम्पनीहरूको दायित्व १,००,००० अमेरिकी डलर पुर्याउने लक्ष्य राखेको छ।
विधेयकले आन्तरिक उडानका लागि अनिवार्य बीमाको व्यवस्था गर्न र ढिलाइ, सामान तथा कार्गो सम्बन्धी नियमहरूलाई स्पष्ट पार्न पनि खोजेको छ, जसले नेपालको घरेलु उड्डयन नियमहरूलाई अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय मापदण्डको नजिक ल्याउनेछ।
