The National Assembly on June 19, 2026 endorsed proposals related to the Cooperative (First Amendment) Ordinance, the Ordinance to Amend Certain Nepal Acts Related to Health Sciences Academies, the Public Procurement (Second Amendment) Ordinance, and the Prevention of Money Laundering (Third Amendment) Ordinance, after proposals to reject them were defeated. Both chambers then approved all four ordinances on June 20, 2026.

The ordinances were originally issued by President Ramchandra Paudel in April and tabled in Parliament by May 11, 2026. Under constitutional provisions, ordinances must be approved by both houses and authenticated by the President within 60 days of being tabled — placing the deadline at July 10, 2026 — or they automatically lapse.
